P.B.F.A Book Fair
Saturday 12th April 2025

The largest currently being organised within the Peak District National Park - will have 30 dealers attending displaying a wide variety of books, both second hand and antiquarian, with maps, prints, ephemera, and lots of unusual and interesting items on display. All dealers attending follow a PBFA Code of Practice ensuring that all items are correctly described and fairly priced. All visitors will be most welcome.
Admission is £1.00 but a free entry ticket can be found and printed off by visiting the PBFA web site www.pbfa.org

Bakewell Food Festival
venue: Bakewell town centre
Approximately100 stalls with the focus being on food and drink, the Bakewell Food Festival will once more be celebrating the wealth of excellent local produce that the Peak District has to offer.
Peak Model Railway Exhibition
Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2025

OPENING TIMES: 10am to 5pm BOTH DAYS
The 2023 Peak Model Railway Exhibition again takes place at our established venue in Bakewell, the friendly town at the heart of the Peak District. The venue has step free access with a completely flat floor and is surrounded by a large pay and display car park. On site are a cafe and bar with the town centre being a short level walk away with many shops, cafes and pubs. Bakewell is well served by frequent bus services from the surrounding cities, towns and villages.

International Day of Dance

For one day every year, the market town of Bakewell in Derbyshire, hosts a celebration of dance and music from around the globe. Now firmly established as the highlight of Bakewell Carnival Week, this all day event, showcases a wide variety of dance styles, at a series of venues around the town. Dance Workshops are held throughout the day in the Town Hall.

Bakewell Secret Gardens
1.00pm to 5.00pm
venue: Bakewell
Bakewell Open Gardens this year is in the area around the Parish Church. Some gardens are small and secluded, others are large with a wide range of flowering plants.
One charge of £5 gives access to all gardens, please bring cash.
Refreshments, jewellery, plant sale in the Newark Room of the parish church.
Look for the green balloons and banners in the area around the church.
Tickets and trail maps available in Bath Gardens and in the parish church.
All proceeds will support the work of Oxfam.

Gauge 1 North Model Railway Exhibition
Saturday 19th July 2025
venue: Agricultural Business Centre
Gauge 1 North is a live steam model railway show, run by the gauge 1 Yorkshire Group. There will be live steam (meths/gas/coal fired) on one of our tracks all day. Gauge 1 is 1/32nd scale: (think Brittains & Scalextric size).
Demonstrations throughout the day of raising steam, modelling, wagon building, pattern making etc. They hope in 2020 to have three Gauge 1 tracks on show. There is usually a wide range of trade stands covering mainly Gauge 1, but many traders also cater for smaller and larger gauges.
Entrance charge is £5, with accompanied children under 16 free of charge.
Y Not Festival
Thursday 31st July to Sunday 3rd August 2025
venue: Pikehall, Derbyshire
The Y Not Festival is set in the idyllic Peak District, there is not many places you can catch your favourite bands, surrounded by the green landscape that Derbyshire has to offer.

Peaks Tour sportive takes riders on an adventure through the Peak District National Park. All three routes start at Bakewell Showground and head north through the National Park making their way to the Hope Valley.
Festival of Wood and Country Crafts

The British Stick makers guild welcomes you to our annual Festival of Wood and Country Crafts at Bakewell, Derbyshire. Admission is £3, but free for BSG members.
Bakewell Christmas Market

A traditional quintessential English Christmas market with around 80 stalls, Father Christmas and entertainment around the town.

Christmas Tree Festival

An amazing display of Christmas trees supplied by businesses and community groups from around the area, held in Bakewell Parish Church.
