Bakewell Food Festival

The ever popular Bakewell Food Festival attracting thousands of visitors each year will once again be held around the streets of the beautiful and historic Peak District riverside market town. Bakewell's wealth of shops, pubs and cafes will be open as normal and craft and gift fairs will be held in the Town Hall, Brigade Hall and Medway centre.

Bakewell Food Festival returns on the 27th & 28th of April 2024 an features around 100 stalls, gazebos and trailers ready to serve you delicious dishes, drinks and more goodies to take home with you too. Not forgetting the wonderful selection of gifts, crafts and any other reason to treat yourself or somebody else.

We are proud to showcase local businesses from in and around our gorgeous peak district, welcoming visitors of all ages to feast your eyes upon the fantastic products on offer. Throughout the weekend there will also be a programme of fabulous entertainment including, children’s fair rides, music from a local DJ and a display of birds of prey by Harry Potter bird man James McKay.

There’ll be the chance to tuck into home-made cakes, artisan pizza, sizzling sausages, freshly tossed pancakes and more, all from an array of food-obsessed producers. Artisan ales, gin and fizz will be served up for anyone who fancies kicking back and enjoying a tipple or two and there’ll be great selection of gifts and crafts for sale.

The festival is just the perfect excuse for visitors to explore the town, famed for its Bakewell Puddings and to treat themselves to delectable edibles, the food festival offers a warm welcome to visitors of all ages.

The roads into Bakewell can become quite congested at certain times due to the shear volume of people attending this event, to help alleviate this, please consider traveling by public transport.
