Over the past years the annual Christmas Tree Festival has celebrated the life in the community.  This year about 85-90 groups, organisations, charities and businesses will be taking part.

The magical, thrilling and uplifting Christmas experience of the 2024 Christmas Tree Festival at Bakewell Parish Church is from 12th to 22nd December.

We welcome you to enjoy the trees exhibited in church, each lovingly decorated by local businesses, schools and groups associated with the local community.

The church will be open for you to wander, take time to enjoy each tree and stay for refreshments.         

Thursday 12th: Opening Service at 7.00pm followed by wine & nibbles

Come and see the trees between 9.30am – 4.00pm on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th, Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st.

On Sundays 15th & 22nd: 12.00-4.00pm

Refreshments will be served in the Newark from 10.00am until 3.30pm daily, except Sundays when they will be served from 12.30 until 3.30pm.

Thursday 19th is late night opening with mulled wine and mince pies served from 5.00 – 7.00pm 

Saturday 14th – Bakewell Choral Society Carol Concert at 7.30pm.  Tickets £12 (accompanied children free) from the Little Vagabond bookshop, from 07752 674719, from members of the choir or on the door.

Sunday 22nd  – Carols and Closing Service at 6.00pm
