Held throughout the year, each market showcases a broad selection of carefully curated artisans and makers, chosen for their talent, diversity of product and skill.
The Mercatum markets are becoming synonymous with fine craft and discovery and offer an exceptionally high quality retail experience. All of which have made them extremely popular with visitors and have earned them a prestigious and much admired reputation on both a local and national level.
Each year the organisers put their energy into creating wonderful seasonal winter markets to be held over long weekends in November and December, hosting a fantastic range of artisans – both familiar faces from previous events, but also many new makers, so why not put these dates in your diary for 2023

Our Mercatum Winter Artisan Markets are hugely popular, so we are delighted to be able to hold them again this year and give our visitors and artisans the opportunity to come together here at Haddon to enjoy a little seasonal magic. In response to demand, we will hold this year’s market across four long weekends, Thursday to Sunday, during November and early December.
Visitors will have plenty of time to browse, shop and enjoy the wonderful range of food and gift choices available. Marquees will be located both outdoors, within the courtyard and on the Fountain and Bowling Green terraces of the gardens, and within some of the rooms of the Hall. As always, this promises to be a fun shopping experience and a great opportunity to find something a little out of the ordinary for family and friends.
We are delighted to welcome back some of our artisans who have joined us before, so if you are looking for that favourite find you have purchased here on a previous visit, then there is a good chance you will be able to find what you are looking for. But we are also excited to introduce many new makers for their first visit to Haddon, so you may well find yourself tempted to something new.
Tickets are £9.50 for adult (includes parking). Children 5-15 years £2.50 and Children 0-4yrs are free.
