Book Fair


Book Fair

Saturday 15th April 2017
at the Agricultural Business Centre

The fair will have over 20 professional book dealers in attendance displaying a wide range of factual and historic books along with modern fiction along with maps and ephemera for sale.
Entry is £1.00 on the door, but free entry tickets can be printed off the PBFA website at the Bakewell Book Fair listing discovered there. Anyone is welcome, children and dogs included. There is level access to all areas of the fair at the venue. The local cafe will be open next to the hall.

The Bakewell Food Festival returns for its sixth year, once more celebrating the wealth of excellent local produce that the Peak District and this beautiful market town have to offer. As well as the multi-award winning farmers market at the Agricultural Business Centre, the town’s historic streets will host more than their usual splendid offerings of food fayre to tempt your palate.

in aid of Breast Cancer Care

This year take a step forward for people affected by breast cancer and take part in Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbonwalk when it returns to the Peak District this month.
The charity is inviting women, men and children to sign up now and start training for a 5, 10 or 20 mile walk in Bakewell to help Breast Cancer Care.

This ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire, It is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials, This year Bakewell has 8 well dressings. 

Starting at the British Legion Well in the Garden of Remembrance, Bath Gardens - a real taste of Derbyshire history.
