Over the centuries, craftsmanship has always had an integral role at Haddon, and in recent years Mercatum has become a firm favourite on the events calendar, with some of the finest artisans and makers in the country showcasing their creations.
Open from 9.30am-5pm, Mercatum will adhere to health and safety guidelines, with over 50 artisans displaying their wares in socially distanced gazebos dotted amidst the wild grasses, selling a curated selection of jewellery, food and drink, art, ceramics and much more.
A family friendly event, there will be a spacious area for people to sit and eat the fantastic takeaway food they’ve bought from the market’s street food artisans.
Lady Edward Manners said: “After what has been a very strange year for us all, we’re delighted to be able to host our first artisan market of 2021 this spring. Not only do the markets provide us with a wonderful opportunity to support some truly fantastic artisans, it also gives people a chance to plan a day out in the fresh air, enjoy some shopping and time with friends, all in a socially distanced, Covid safe manner.”
