Commenting on the weekend organiser Sam Wherrett stated “we’re delighted to be able to step in and guarantee that Christmas is DEFINATELY ON in Bakewell this year. The town is a jewel in Derbyshire’s crown steeped in English Tradition and architecture with a supportive residential community and the potential to pull visitors from far and wide.”
The key thing for us now is the time frame. We’ve only a few weeks to bring together all the traders and entertainment but we’re working intensively in partnership with the community engagement team at Derbyshire Dales County Council to ensure we can spread glad tidings and good will throughout the town and attract visitors from far and wide.”
Trade applications are currently being considered by organisers and community choirs, brass bands, and amateur dramatic groups are being asked to come forward with a seasonal entertainment offering by making contact with organisers by email at email@example.com.
