Bakewell will again host their now highly reputable food festival on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May.
So many factors have made this such a fantastic event in the past: a backdrop of stunning, Peak District scenery; a beautiful, historic riverside town; friendly market traders who are passionate about their food and drink products and last but not least, great organisers, who make sure that the atmosphere is family friendly, encouraging an amazing, eclectic range of produce and entertainment to fill the streets of this lovely town. With children in mind, there will also be ponies to see and donkey rides and why not let them come dressed as their favourite Super Hero and pop over to the Bakewell Superhero Event (entry fees apply), which will be running on the show ground whilst you are in town!
For those who appreciate the historic buildings of Bakewell, the Old House Museum and Church will be open to visitors and craft and gift fairs will take place in the Town Hall, there are lots of lovely things to see and great cafes and Inns to stop and take some refreshment.
Bakewell already has some great, independent retail outlets and participating businesses will be offering some great discounts and tastings over the two days. There will also be 'road shows' and cookery demonstrations and a range of other interesting stalls and road shows.
Regular 'foodie' visitors to the town will perhaps already visit the regular, monthly Farmers' Market in the ABC Building and just to make it even more essential to diary date this weekend, the Farmers' Market will also be running on Saturday, 30th April!
If you are interested in running at stall yourself, please contact Janet Bailey at firstname.lastname@example.org and for further details please go to www.whatsonbakewell.co.uk
