What better setting for this now annual event for all things Christmassy, than the quintessential, historic town of Bakewell.
This year's Christmas Market will bring approximately 70 market stalls to the town centre, featuring arts, crafts, food and wine, seasonal fayre and festive gifts, plus so much more. The aroma of mulled wine, coupled with Christmas music and song from local choirs and wandering minstrels, should remind everyone ' t'is the season to be jolly!'
60% of traders and businesses are from the Peak District and Derbyshire, which is fantastic for our local economy and also platforms the range of producers in our region and a;so some regulars from Bakewell's Monday Market.
Graham Howe has taken the helm for entertainment which includes; Victorian dressed musicians - Peasants Revolt: donkeys: James and his Owls: Robert Shaw, a balloon artist: The Minions and of course, Santa will be in town at at the The Olde Original Bakewell Pudding Shop.
To set the Christmas Sparkle in full flow, Bakewell's Christmas lights will be switched on at 16.45 in Bath Gardens on the Saturday.
