Bakewell Christmas Weekend

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November 2016

The beautiful, historic town centre of Bakewell, will once again be home to the Bakewell Christmas Market Weekend. Set in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, this free event has a long standing reputation for it's festive atmosphere and eclectic range of some eighty quality, festive market stalls, which will line the town's streets on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November 2016 between 9am and 6pm. Bakewell's Christmas lights will be switched on on Saturday 26th November at 4.45pm in Bath Gardens.
This market offers  something for everyone, with stalls  on Market Street, Granby Road and Riverside Crescent situated on pushchair and wheelchair friendly hardstanding. Stalls include gins and locally brewed beers, alongside seasonal gifts, crafts, baubles and traditional market stalls. Street food includes a wood fired pizza oven and  a log cabin smokehouse. The aromas of mulled wine, mince pies and roasted chestnuts and festive sounds from local choirs will all add to the seasonal spirit plus the Wee Dram is again hosting whisky tastings this year,
Children can visit Santa's grotto in the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop, plus there will be James and his Owls; High Peak donkey rides; Shetland pony carriage rides with Santa's elves; Live reindeer will be again be visiting on the 27th at 2 pm in Bath Gardens; children's roundabout rides; Gully Mouse face painting plus The Minions will be also be on the market from 2.30 pm on the Saturday and again at 4.45 pm  in Bath Gardens.
